PCL5 Watermarking

Some PaperCut customers have reported pages being printed blank or light gray when watermarking is enabled on certain PCL5 printers.

We believe this is due to problems with setting gray levels in PCL5 macros on these printers’ PCL5 interpreters.

If you see this problem on your PCL5 printer then add the line:

WatermarkPCL5NoGrayLevel=on

… to your print-provider.conf, and restart the PaperCut Print Provider. The print-provider.conf can be found here:

[app-path]/providers/print/[platform]

Please also report the problem to the PaperCut Support team. Also, do note that “Full page” watermarking is not supported in conjunction with PCL5 drivers.
