Set up a new computer or mobile phone

THE PAGE APPLIES TO:

“Help! I’m a print user trying to set up a new device so I can print on PaperCut Pocket or PaperCut Hive!”

I have a new computer. How do I set it up?

If you have a new computer and you’re wondering how to set it up for printing, you’ve come to the right place!

  1. On your new computer, head over to your invitation email in your inbox. Search your email for the heading “(Name of your administrator) has invited you to set up printing” and open it.
  2. Click Get Started. This takes you to a new web page that should be pretty familiar to you.

Example of setting up a computer app button

  1. Under Install your computer app, click Download.
  2. Now run the installer and complete the installation. You’re now ready to go ahead and print!

I have a new mobile device. How do I set it up?

If you have a new mobile device (let’s say you dropped the old one off a pier by accident) and decide to move all your information from your old mobile device, there is a good chance that you have been told to link up your PaperCut Pocket or PaperCut Hive mobile app again. We’ll help you run through these steps to get set up again. The same applies if you have multiple mobile devices.

  1. On your new mobile device, head over to your invitation email in your inbox. Search your email for the heading “(Name of your administrator) has invited you to set up printing” and open it.
  2. Click Get Started. This takes you to a new web page that should be pretty familiar to you.

Example of setting up a mobile app button

  1. Under Install your mobile app, click Get App. This opens the relevant app store for your mobile device.
  2. Download the app and open it. You’ll be automatically linked up to your account, thanks to some PaperCut magic.
  3. Hooray! You can now release your documents from the app now!
