Three ways to change the language on reports

This page applies to:

Last updated September 30, 2025

When to review language settings

When your scheduled report is delivered, it may be missing the language setting specific to your location. You can set configure language settings using:

  • a global location setting
  • a configuration key
  • the scheduled report language selection.

Global location setting

Language settings can be adjusted under Options > General > Display Settings. This setting is applied system-wide and renders the chosen language in your report. This is referred to as your system locale.

Config key

Reports default to the system locale to determine their language. However, the report language can be configured independently if required by changing the config key: reports.pdf-locale

Default setting - DEFAULT (Uses system Locale)

Here’s a guide to help you choose the best language settings.

Setting the language for only scheduled reports

You can set the language used in scheduled reports.

  1. In the admin UI, go to Reports > Schedule / Email Reports.
  2. Scroll down to Language, select the language, then click Save.

Here’s a screen recording for reference.
