Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina runs on Apple devices across several buildings, with student printers and a copier on every floor. For Megan Musselwhite, Instructional and Operations Support Technician, printing support requests were a constant: “Most often, actually, it is: how do I print? We get that a lot from students.”

“Printing has always been a challenge. We’re an Apple school,” Megan says. “It had always been a challenge. It made me hate printers.”
With student printers and copiers spread across every floor of multiple buildings on campus, getting print jobs to the right place — without long waits or confusion — was a daily source of friction for students, teachers, and the IT team alike.
Solution
“We got PaperCut last year and it has streamlined everything for us. It has made me not hate printers,” Megan says.
The change came down to flexibility across campus. “The teachers love that they can badge in any copier at any part of the school and that it keeps a queue for them,” Megan explains. “We have several buildings on our campus, and so when a teacher goes to a meeting in one building, they’re able to print their documents from there easily.”
It also solved the bottleneck problem. “If one is busy because somebody is printing a lot, they can just run to the one on the next floor and not have to wait.”
Outcome
“Printers have been the bane of my existence for forever, but PaperCut has really made it a lot easier for us,” Megan says. “PaperCut is easy, it’s straightforward, and it streamlines all of our printing issues.”
