When Elmec chose PaperCut, they wanted to hit two birds with one stone: find a print management solution good enough for customers, while being good enough for internal use. In other words, their choice had a lot to live up to. And PaperCut MF turned out to be just the ticket.
Problem
Prospective solutions are often tested at Elmec to make sure they’re portfolio-worthy. But this instance was a little different; on top of resonating with customers, the solution also had to meet Elmec’s business needs for print management.
And the requirements weren’t anything to scoff at. The solution needed to: enable printing from any device, integrate with accounting systems, increase network security, ease IT burden, track all activity, create reports, reduces costs, scale with growth… You get the idea.
So with an extensive list of mandatories and nice-to-haves, Elmec deployed PaperCut MF to cover 20 MFDs, 20 single-function printers, and 600 users across multiple offices.
Solution
Elmec were glad to report that PaperCut MF was a resounding success, and met all their requirements with ease.
Of particular value to Elmec was Mobility Print, PaperCut’s BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) solution. Straight away, they were able to print from laptops, smartphones, Chromebooks… Any device at their disposal.
Then there was the easy implementation of RFID tags to authenticate users, policies to control excessive printing, and – last but not least – a hassle-free setup customers would absolutely be on board with.
Outcome
One of the biggest wins for Elmec was having a truly portfolio-worthy solution they could confidently recommend to customers.
The equally great byproduct of the proof being in the pudding? PaperCut MF was yielding serious benefits internally, like significantly reduced costs from printing policies backed by report insights.
