Meet your new system tray app
The new PaperCut Hive and Pocket system tray app gives your users immediate visibility into their printing status directly from the Windows system tray and macOS menu bar.
This new desktop experience empowers your users to self-serve. They can now instantly:
- Check their login status and cloud connection.
- Verify the authenticated user profile.
- Log in or out of the client.
- Sync installed printers on demand.
This enhancement is live right now as part of our automatic client updates. You do not need to perform any extra setup.
A fully rebuilt iOS app now with iPadOS support
We completely rebuilt our iOS print app to be faster, more reliable, and beautifully modern. We also bring highly requested native support for iPadOS printing, replacing the stretched phone layout with a dedicated tablet experience!
Plus, you can now sign out quickly and easily. You no longer need to delete the app to switch users.

Current app installations update automatically to this new version. New users can find it today in the Apple App Store.
Easy job refunds for administrators
Administrators can now initiate job refunds directly from the PaperCut Hive and Pocket admin console. If a print job fails due to an unexpected paper jam or an empty toner cartridge, you can instantly return the credit to the user.

Read our guide on processing print job refunds in the Help Center.
Dive deeper with expanded reporting
We added several new reports to the PaperCut Hive and Pocket admin console and organized the reporting experience into a cleaner, tabbed layout.

You can now navigate using tabs for Users, Printers, and Environment, and access brand new data across user, printer, and scanning activities.
