This January 2026 update focuses on the everyday friction that makes printing harder to manage than it needs to be.
We’ve shipped a set of practical improvements that make setup simpler, everyday tasks faster, and management a little more predictable for IT teams.
Here’s a quick tour of what’s new, so you can jump to the parts that matter most to you:
At a glance: what’s new in January 2026
- Reuse print drivers across print queues
- Customizable access codes for easier MFD login
- Share branded reports as PDFs
- Pull Delivery expands to Ricoh and Sharp (beta)
Spend less time setting up print queues
WIth Print Queue Deployment, you can now reuse print drivers across multiple queues directly from the PaperCut Hive admin console. You also get a clearer view of which queues are actively being deployed to end users.

That means less repeat work, more consistent setups, and fewer chances for small differences to creep in.

Access codes that are easier for users
You can now customize the format and length of auto-generated access codes in PaperCut Hive, choosing numeric-only or alphanumeric formats and setting the length to suit your environment.

This gives you a more intentional login experience, where access codes are easier to manage at scale and better aligned with how your organisation actually works, whether you prioritise usability, security, or a balance of both.

Reports that are ready to share
You can now share PaperCut Hive reports as PDFs, making it easier to get print insights to the people who need them.
You can also add your own branding to PDF reports, so insights arrive looking finished and professional. This makes it easier to share reports with finance teams, school leadership, or other stakeholders without extra formatting or explanation.

Pull Delivery expands to more devices in beta
Pull Delivery continues to evolve in PaperCut Hive, and support is now expanding to Ricoh and Sharp, alongside existing support for Kyocera and Lexmark.
Pull Delivery allows MFDs to securely download print jobs directly from the PaperCut Hive Cloud Node and print them at the device, without relying on local client machines being available at the time of release.
If you like being early with new technology, or you’re looking to reduce reliance on clients within your network, you can sign up to be one of the first to try Pull Delivery on Ricoh and Sharp.
