Overview
The PaperCut Hive system tray app adds quick visibility and control directly to the desktop, helping users and IT teams better understand the status of the PaperCut Hive client on their device.
Available in the Windows system tray and macOS menu bar, the app allows users to:
- See whether they are logged in and ready to print.
- Log in or out of the PaperCut Hive client.
- Confirm which user is authenticated on the device.
- Refresh printers to pull the latest configuration from PaperCut Hive when needed.
This early-access release is designed for existing PaperCut Hive customers and partners who want improved visibility into client status and faster ways to resolve common day-to-day challenges.
We’re opening access through this Percolator to gather real world feedback before general availability.

Real-world scenarios: Where our system tray app shines
When a user isn’t sure why printing isn’t available

On shared or flexible workstations
Users can quickly confirm or switch the authenticated account before submitting print jobs, helping ensure printing happens under the correct identity.
