Overview
With Multi-Org Login, administrators can now access all their PaperCut Hive organizations with a single email address. This eliminates the need for juggling multiple login credentials, making it easier for IT teams and resellers to manage multiple sites, whether across businesses or schools.
The new login flow is designed to improve workflow efficiency and simplify onboarding for organizations with multiple locations.
The basics
Simplified Admin Access Across Multiple PaperCut Hive Organizations
Managing multiple PaperCut Hive tenancies as an administrator just became more streamlined. Now, with Multi-Org Login, administrators can log into all their PaperCut Hive organizations using a single email address — no more juggling multiple email aliases or addresses. Whether you’re managing customer organizations as a reseller or as an administrator who oversees multiple PaperCut Hive organizations within the same company. This new feature simplifies login, saving time and reducing administrative complexity.
Onboarding becomes much easier for administrators who need to access and manage multiple PaperCut Hive organizations. No more remembering different email addresses or creating aliases for each tenancy.
This simplifies operations for resellers, customer admins, and organizations with multiple locations, such as school districts or multi-site companies.
How it works
1. Admin enters their email address. If the email address belongs to more than one PaperCut Hive organization, a One-time Password (OTP) is sent to that email.
2. Admin verifies email with an OTP.

3. Admin selects the organization to log into.

Trust This Browser: By default, the “Trust this browser” option is ticked. If this is checked, admins will not need to verify their email again for 365 days in that browser. If left unchecked, the OTP will need to be re-verified in future sessions.

Tip: If you untick the “Trust this browser” box, you’ll need to close and reopen the browser to ensure the OTP is “forgotten” and re-entered when needed.
Example use case
Scenario 1: A Customer Admin Manages a School District
John the Admin works at Hawthorn University, there are multiple campuses and this university prefers to have separate PaperCut Hive Orgs for each campus.
John has to manage and oversee each of these PaperCut Hive Orgs (5 in total). With Multi-Org login John doesn’t need to create an email alias for each of these orgs. He can use a single email address to access all of these orgs and he only needs to verify the email address belongs to him on that browser once.
Scenario 2: A Reseller Gets Invited to 20 Different PaperCut Hive Organizations
Sally has been selling PaperCut Hive like hotcakes lately. Previously she would’ve had to create 20 unique emails so that her customers can add her to their PaperCut Hive orgs. Now she can tell those customers to just invite her using her primary email address. This makes accessing those PaperCut Hive orgs so much easier and not having to remember the email address for each one is a relief.
How to troubleshoot
Scenario:
-
Rate Limiting: If multiple admins within the same IP address attempt to verify their email at the same time, they may encounter a rate-limiting error: “You’ve requested a code too many times. Wait 3 minutes, then try again.”
-
Resend OTP: If an OTP is re-sent too many times, a rate-limiting error will appear:
“You’ve requested a code too many times. Wait 3 minutes, then try again.”
-
Incorrect OTP Attempts: After multiple incorrect OTP attempts, you’ll receive an error: “Too many incorrect attempts. Wait 3 minutes before you try again.”
