(:title Slow Printing on Some Sharp Copiers:)
Some PaperCut customers have reported in late 2012 the symptoms of slow printing to some Sharp Copiers. The symptoms include a pause in between print jobs sent to the copier of several seconds.
PaperCut Technical Support understands the reason for this pause is to allow the copier to accurately confirm the job details with external applications like PaperCut, in which the copier will pause in between print jobs in order to confirm the job details before it prints.
Since all print jobs are sent from PaperCut directly, this function is not needed in order for PaperCut to accurately record job details sent to the copier. We have been advised that there is a software switch in the MFD firmware that can be modified in order to remove this delay. If you would like to know more about this option, including having it modified, please contact your Authorized Sharp vendor and inquire about
MFP-SB-380 item 27. This change should only be performed by a certified copier technician.
PaperCut sites have made this change and no known issues have been reported.
