Q A message says that my license has expired - what do I do?

If you’re seeing ‘Your existing PaperCut license has expired’, then this usually happens after your free 40-day fully functioning trial has expired. If you’re wanting to continue to use the Free license then you don’t need to do anything else. Just keep the number of users in PaperCut (under the ‘Users’ tab) at 5 or less, and you’ll be able to continue to use the free license on whichever version of PaperCut you’re running. There’s no need to apply for a ‘free’ license, and there’s no restriction on which version you can use - as long as you have 5 or less users under the ‘Users’ tab.

Q How do I purchase a new license (If I’m not interested in the free license)?

If you have more than 5 users, and you’re looking to purchase a license please follow the link below to our online order system. If you need to raise a purchase order, you can use the order system to generate a quote.

Q I used to run a free version before, what are other options?

Q What happens when a trial runs out?

There’s a little more info about what happens when the trial runs out here: PaperCut trial period extensions but in short, PaperCut will continue to function, and people can continue printing and tracking jobs etc. The system will simply prevent admin level login until a valid license is installed.
