How embracing technology makes for happier teachers

We’ve talked about all the good stuff our Google Premier Partnership gives to students.

But what about teachers? The guides for new generations? The shapers of minds? Won’t someone please think of the teachers?!

Move over pen and paper, technology and teachers are the new perfect pair – and I’m gonna tell you why.

Simple, secure printing … at the library

The modern library is no longer simply a free source of reading literature. Today’s public library provides services for patrons, job-seekers and the community they thrive in. You’ll also find technology services including print and copy and internet access.

This is especially true of Oklahoma’s Tulsa City-County Library.

An Interview with Ad – our new Head of Global Sales

We sat down with our newest PaperCutter, Ad van Amrooij, to get to know our new ead of Global Sales a little better.

Being unfamiliar with the subtleties of Dutch pronunciation, one of the first questions was about his surname.

It feels good to give a little

I was so happy when I heard that the PaperCut Leadership team had decided to sponsor the first ever Illuminate Gala Ball.  Not just because the cause was close to my heart – autism support and awareness – but also because it made me feel good to know that the company I worked for was prepared to give to help others.

A robot to automate printer trays?

If you think going to a printer to clear a paper jam is painful, imagine having to do endless tests to trigger error statuses on printers. Pulling the tray out, waiting for an error to appear in the UI and then pushing the tray back in again. There’s got to be a better way. Luckily […]

The great PaperCut ride and shave

G’day, My name is Jason Clarke, I’ve been with PaperCut nearly 7 years, firstly in our customer facing tech Support Team in Melbourne, and now as the IT guy supporting over 100 staff. After being the IT guy in both a high school and now at PaperCut, I can see the frustrations felt by SysAdmins […]

Where did everyone go?

There aren’t many companies where you can prank the CEO and CTO, but we managed to do it when we moved office! With a team growing at a pace faster than our agile development, we moved HQ once again, only two years after the last growth spurt. In keeping with PaperCut’s ‘qwirky’ fun culture, we […]

Moving to the Big Apple

It’s been a big year, moving from Melbourne and the land down under to the Big Apple, New York City! Not only that, moving roles within PaperCut from coding software to supporting customers around the world.  The first time I came to NYC was only 2 years ago. The vibe of the city was amazing, I […]

Our CEO and CTO back Innovation

Australian’s are a hardy bunch, a great nation built on the foundations of our vast land and abundant resources; our national anthem adds to the narrative of our golden soil and wealth for toil. As a nation we are now more aware than ever that our mineral and farming resources alone cannot sustain us as […]

Industry placement: a day in the life of an intern

Greetings and salutations everyone! My name is Zak and I’m a 21 year old software dev intern who has been working at PaperCut for the last 8 months. Last year, I was in my 3rd year at Swinburne University (and during this time I bumped into one of PaperCut’s founders, Chris at a Golang meetup. […]

Happy one-year anniversary at Hawthorn

Getting together over coffee is a part of everyday at PaperCut. What better reason to get the team connected here and in Portland than to celebrate our one-year anniversary at our Hawthorn, Melbourne HQ. For those that have been with PaperCut for more than a year, it seems like just yesterday we officially opened the building.

PaperCut co-founder wins sailing World Championship

Dinghies with sails glide across the open seas off the coast of Western Australia. The surface of the water hides the white-pointer sharks that silently menace below. This sounds like a dangerous pastime reserved only for daredevils with a death wish. (We can’t help but think of the Jaws movie, “We’re gonna need a bigger boat”). […]
