Web Tools admin password

The WebTools interface is asking me for a password. What is the admin password?

This article applied to PaperCut Quota. For other PaperCut editions, see Resetting the Admin Password.

The PaperCut Web Tools interface uses the same username and password as used for standard Windows logins. In a domain environment, most browsers will automatically authenticate using the current logged in user's credentials. You can read more about IIS authentication at:

To use the PaperCut Web Tools administration interface, administrators will just need to enter the Administrator (or a user in the Administrators group) username and password.

Note, depending on the network setup, users may need to enter a username in the form of <DOMAIN>\<username> format if prompted for a password.

In most network set-ups a password will not be required.
