Local Printers
Are local desktop printers (peer printers) supported?
Yes. Local desktop printers such as USB printers directly connected to a workstation can be tracked by PaperCut. PaperCut NG is able to track local printers by installing a small monitoring component on the local system. PaperCut Quota does not have support for local printers, however it can track them with a "remapping" method as explained in Appendix II in the PaperCut Quota User Guide.
