Well done on the release guys. I can see a few worried faces in our organisation as I roll out the new print policy stuff. Why do people print emails in color?!

It would be great if you could extend this as follows: Have an option to maximize the workstation's volume and play a WAV file. I could have fun with that ...

"Alert! Alert! Someone is printing single sided!"

"Alert! Alert! The boss is printing his emails again!" :-)

@Sergio Great to see scripting getting more use. We've added even more example recipes in the next release. One of the main new ones is around implementing standard print policies that I think should exist in every organization: Encouraged double-sided printing, no printing emails in color and warnings if you try and print a web page in color.

Filters and scripts for printers, and shared accounts for copying and printing are my favorite features, and more attract the attention of law firms that have offered the solution.
They are very happy to see that you can track all expenses relating to its customers.
I'm in the process of approval in 03 law offices and all are very satisfied with the results!

Nice list. My vote goes to server-command.exe. It's a small little command-line tool hidden deep in PaperCut's install directory. It may be small, but it's the swiss army knife packed full of little commands to keep any school ITC tech. happy! I use it to automatically create student accounts with print quota based on their course. It's called from my custom Visual Basic scripts. If only I could write a script to make the students disappear too :-)

Thanks nissim. It's been on the top of our most voted for features for about 4 months now. Print job security and identification must be a hot print management topic! We've put a lot of R&D into this and use some really advanced postscript code and cryptographic stuff. I first started playing around with HMACs a few years ago implementing a one-time password system in my spare time. I always wanted to use this in print job watermarking.... 5 years later the dream comes true :-)
