We released PaperCut 5.1 yesterday. The focus for this release was to track down bugs in the 5.1 release and add additional functionality to the web tools interface. We’re finding that more and more of our users are using the web interface as a primary means of managing PaperCut. In this release we have moved much of the standard reporting and data export functionality into the web interface. I expect that we’ll be enhancing this even more over the next 12 months. Just a quick post to let all know that PaperCut Quota 5.1 will be out next week. It’s comprises of mostly new features particularly with the web tools interface, and a few bug fixes reported by our non-english speaking customers with alternate currency formats. Keep an eye out on the release history page next week.

We’ve just started a new Knowledge Base site for PaperCut. The site will contain technical information covering PaperCut, its installation, and support. Customers can view an early version of the site at http://kb.papercutsoftware.com/. We plan on giving out a password to our customers to allow them to edit and add to the site. In many cases our users know implementation tricks that we would never have thought of ourselves! It will be great to get a wide range of ideas on the site.
